Using the handbook
Practical guides keep the procedure sequence together: what to prepare, what to do and what to check. Supporting explanations explore individual decisions, such as choosing an insertion site, and link back to the relevant guide.
Use the contents list to jump to a section. Optional evidence notes can be expanded as you read; essential precautions remain visible in the main guide.
Editorial review
Guides and explanations remain unpublished until clinical and editorial review is complete. Demonstration pages in draft previews are labelled and are not clinical guidance.
Article information identifies authors and reviewers where recorded. A review date records an actual clinical content review; an updated date records a substantive revision. References appear at the end of each article.
